En Route . . .

Backroads

Beginning Diddy: I begin this blog with only the hopes of practicing my writing, so if there are any readers know that these are the half-hearted drafts of a work in progress.

High lights of the day so far:

Taking it slow can be all it’s cracked up to be. I left my car in town yesterday so today I dragged myself out the door and biked the 15 or so miles into town.  It is quite unnerving to be passed by a semi on a country road. It was a lovely little ride with enough effort required that I now smell. Go figure I forgot my deodorant.

With my decision to no longer work two jobs for the summer I will be forced to reckon with my greatest enemy, my idle self– and probably the comma as well, he’s pretty high up there the little bugger.

Camus wrote that “Idleness is only fatal to the mediocre” (A Happy Death).  Here goes everything. . . well, at least a few things.
